Word from the School
Times are hard for schools these days. We are raising tuition on a regular basis trying to keep up with inflation. Unfortunately, if we raised tuition to the realistic figures it may not be possible for many parents to send their kids to St. James High. As a result we have to select how we spend resulting in some valuable activities and items being ignored. Sports are an important part of a growing child. However, we have seen our kids doing with limited resources. Donations of such items as balls, uniforms, books and other items can eliviate the financial constraints we are facing. A list of items we will be glad to have is displayed on the left side of this page. You can also decide on what other items you can donate.
Many of you may be interested in helping us but are not sure how. The Cathedral, in the city center is the best drop off point for items that you donate. The donor for our basketball uniform and cement had someone arrange for the sewing of the uniforms and dropped the finished product at the Cathedral. As for heavy items like cement, the donor arranged with someone to make the purchase and then left the receipt at the Cathedral for our truck driver to go and pick the cement up.

Basketball uniforms for the kids
Cement for the Court
Ten bags of cement to resurface the basketball court. These pictures show the original state of the court. As soon as the pictures for the resurfaced court are available, we will display them.
